I feel so bad for 02, being always alone. Having her partner die over and over again while she has to fight on, that would take a toll on anyone. I can't even begin to understand how she feels after having to deal with this for so long.

Yeah , but it is also her fault. She is draining her partner’s energy and life force. That’s why they all die. That’s why she is always alone. Because she is a monster. A horrible creature. If she wouldn’t want them to die , she wouldn’t pilot a Franxx. But she does. Even more so , she doesn’t even care about anyone. Not even for Hiro. At one point Ichigo asks Zero Two if she would still ride the Franxx even if it would kill Hiro. She says yes. She doesn’t care. She is a monster. And above all , a manipulator. During this battle she keeps pushing Hiro to battle , even though he is greatly injured and in immense pain. When he stops to catch his breath cause he feels like he is dying (which he is) she asks him if that’s all he can do. She only cares about fighting Klasoxaurs. This is all her fault. She only brings death to anyone she encounters.

R we watching the same show? Anyone with eyes can see that she is forced to fight. Her only coping mechanism is to love fighting, she literally said it her self the reason she loves fighting is because she is a 'monster' the only thing she was shown of herself and she knew of herself. She was treated like a monster and a machine all her life that's why she acts like a monster she was always outcasted and no one asked how she was, how she was felling or not even if her health is alright she was just expected to move on and fight so of course she will only act like she doesn't care about anyone's health or safety because she doesn't know how to care because no one ever showed her how to do so. Also this applies to when ichigo asked her if she cares for hiro, how was she supposed to say 'if he can't do it then it's fine' when all she knows and all she was shown all her life is when she/anyone else is tired or hurt they are either replaced or forced to continue until they die and the prime examples to this is her, her previous partners and all the children

Both are right. She was forced to fight. But when it comes to fighting she has the choice of how much power to exert. And concerning that choice, she doesn't take into account her partner whatsoever. And we know she is aware how her power affects her pilot. After all, that's what she did to terrify Mitsuru.

She'll suck them dry, if it means more self-satisfaction for her at the end of the day or to get what she wants. I don't doubt her making sure each pilot dies within three days, is a tiny act of rebellion against what she was forced into.

She clearly enjoys fighting you r right. But you can see here and throughout the show that she in technicality doesn't have a choice on how much power to use, because one its stated that the fact that she isn't human is the reason her partners die and two had she lowered her powers both her and the partner would die fighting that monster because we can see that even when she uses her full power the partner dies and she gets greatly injured. Also here and throughout the show you can see that she has some sort of trauma from seeing her partners die, maybe it's because after they die ppl treat her like a monster maybe not. but it's clear that she hates the feeling of being left alone after her partners die. And what scared the blue haired girl isn't Zero two's powers because they still haven't seen much of it yet, but what scared the blue haired girl is the rumours she heard and believed about Zero two which is understandable to fear the unknown.

I'll have to see. But for now 'Let's get a bit more serious' when riding with Mitsuru, says at the least that there is a measure of control to her output. And that she knew very well how it would affect Mitsuru and deliberately went through with it.

I'll see from future episodes how much I can loosen my judgement regarding that part.

Yes that was deliberate because it wasn't real and she wanted to show the teacher that in real life he would just end up like her old partners, because like I said during the battle she will have to go full power whether she wants to or not, she'll have to go full power to save herself and mitsuru wouldn't be able to handle longer than 3 days. And like I said she either goes full power kills the monster and save herself at least or both her and her partner die and the monster lives. But enjoy the show hopefully u understand her more.

3 times is just a very suspicious number overall. It gives you the impression it's all calculated. It's just too consistent. As suspicious as it would be when someone says 'Everyone who gets covid, dies in 3 days'.

It's the biggest red herring that prevents you from understanding Zero Two's situation properly, bc it instantly leads you to have misgivings about her conduct when, as you say, she doesn't have a choice in the matter.

It's obvious that in this scene it was calculated. She clearly disliked the boy (can't remember his name) and she wanted hiro and she knows the reason why her partners die is because she uses her full power which gives them 3 days max (and remember in a real scenario she needs her full power to atleast barley save herself like we saw on the first ep where she was covered in blood and her partner died and still the monster was doing very well) so in this scene she clearly did it deliberately

I may Simp for Zero Two cause she learns how to care for people during the anime but she's not bad at the beginning she was being selfish but I agree that Ichigo and the others cared about Hiro more than Zero Two in the start.
